In 1958 the business relocated to a larger facility in suburban Union, New Jersey. But as time passed even the larger building could not accommodate the ever-growing business. This was because the years that followed the move not only brought further increases in sales but also saw numerous additions to the staff including Henry's four sons who joined the business during the 1960's. As a result of these increased demands for space, in 1972 an addition to the building nearly doubled its size.

With additional space now available Rummel began exploring new areas of manufacturing including CNC machining and plastic thermoforming. These new services complemented Rummel's traditional concentration in plastic stamping thereby increasing its diversity and ability to remain competitive in the global marketplace. This increased diversity was reflected outwardly when the company formally changed its name from Rummel Fibre to Rummel Industries in 1994.

The need to diversify also led the company to begin a series of acquisitions in the 1980's that would further transform the company. In 1985 Rummel purchased a plastic stamping operation in Rome, Georgia which combined a few years later with the acquisition of a short run metal stamping operation to form Rummel Stampings in Rome, Georgia. This new facility greatly expanded Rummel's production capabilities and brought the company in closer proximity to customers throughout the Southeast. It also became the largest facility throughout the company, a distinction that Stampings holds to this day.
